That Second Chance

I cannot express enough how much I love Meghan Quinn’s writing. This book was no different, and I’m so excited this is a series, because I loved this story. I loved the family, and I can’t wait to find out what happens in the next books! “It was supposed to be an innocent night, celebrating my brother’s birthday. Nothing was supposed to go wrong. We’d vowed to be on our best behavior after all..But it only took one rowdy night with my brothers to flip my world upside down. One unlucky encounter saddled us with a family curse and the promise of doomed relationships. I laughed it off immediately. “Yeah, right,” I thought. “ A love curse. Ha!” Boy, was I wrong. Word spreads quickly in a town like mine; rumors about that night soon made us the most eligible yet untouchable bachelors in Port Snow, Maine. As a subject of endless gossip and speculation. I could kiss my dating life goodbye. It would have stayed that way if Ren Winters, the new girl in town, hadn’t crashed into my life. ...

Junk Mail

I don't remember the last time I read a book so fast. Last night at about 9pm I started this book, and I finished it this morning. It was such an easy, funny, steamy read. I actually got a newsletter from Kendall Ryan and that's how I found out about this book. I one clicked it, and it's been on my kindle ever since.  "It all started with a sexy selfie. Texted to the wrong number. Oops. Not my finest moment- but I have nothing to be ashamed of. She thought I was no better, and I quote, than the knuckle-dragging douche-bags she was never dating again. It was a stupid dare from a girl I'd met online, but since she'd given me a fake number, I didn't feel bad that my interests were suddenly focused elsewhere-on the fiery and sharp-tongued, Peyton that I found myself sparring with over text for the rest of the evening. The following day, my case of mistaken identity came back to bite me in the banana. When I strolled into the office, I was introduced to ...

Imperfect Match

Image
I was so excited to read this book. It was so hyped up everywhere on my Instagram, the cover was gorgeous, everyone was loving it. I did not love it. And that makes me so sad.  "Rule number one for a professional matchmaker? Don't fall in love with your client. I screwed that up when I fell for my best friend, Reid Fortino. He's  gorgeous, successful, and sexy as hell. I figured it would be easy to find him a match- and save the family business at the same time. But the more time I spend attempting to find the perfect girl, the more I realize how much I want him for my own. What's the harm if we give in for just one night? I should have known that would never be enough. Now I'm on the verge of losing my job and my heart. We were an imperfect match from the start, but I don't know how to let him go."  Willow and Reid have been best friends forever. They spend all their time together, but they don't have any feelings for each other, and they n...

Wait With Me

Okay, so Amy Daws is a new to me author, and I just happened to stumble upon her. You have to read her story about how this book was written, it is so fantastic. I couldn't wait to pick this book up after I found out the back story on it. Here is a little snippet from an article that Scarymommy.com wrote about her.  "Every mom needs to find her "happy place." You know, that place where you're actually able to shut out the rest of the world and focus on yourself. For some moms, that place is the spa. For others (ahem) it's Target. For writer Amy Daws, that place is Tires, Tires, Tires. "One day, I took my car in for new tires at Tires, Tires, Tires and magically blasted out like 5,000 words in their fabulous waiting room," Daws writes on her website. "It was incredible. And the scenery wasn't bad either! Complimentary coffee that was actually delicious, comfortable seating, free cookies, friendly staff. I had found my mother ship." ...

Scars

I finished this book yesterday, but was struggling with how to review it. I have mixed emotions. I didn't know if I even wanted to finish it, but I recommended it to my book bestie based on some recommendations from other readers, so I felt it was only right to push through. I'm glad I did, but I will warn you this isn't a walk in the park, you are going to struggle with this one.  "I had the perfect school, the perfect friends- the perfect life...At least that's what I thought. But you changed all that. You are always there..Always watching..Always waiting in the shadows. You send me flowers and messages. You stalk me, trace my every movement..Until that one day, in a silly game of seven minutes in heaven, when I finally get to feel you- have a taste of you..It left me wanting more. One catastrophic day, my wish is granted. Just past my eighteenth birthday, tragedy strikes and I watch my family die before my eyes. You are there. You rescue me. You choos...

Baby Mine

This was my first book by Kennedy Fox, and I was not disappointed. This book made me feel so much. So many conflicting feelings. It was absolutely a beautifully written story.  "I saw her first. Blonde. Gorgeous. Feisty. I was smitten. But it didn't matter because she chose him and he was my best friend and roommate. I'd never be able to compete with that, so I pushed her away instead. It was easy when she lived hours away, and I didn't have to see her every day, but then she moved in with us. Now, I'm screwed. To her singing in the shower every morning, dancing in the kitchen while she makes coffee, and doing yoga in our living room, I can't stop thinking about her in all the wrong ways. She's not mine and never will be, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to push her against a wall and claim her mouth. She's constantly on me for making messes, bringing chicks home every weekend, and being a smartass when their PDA gets on my nerves. Cons...

Well Suited

I was provided an advanced copy of this book from Social Butterfly PR & the author Staci Hart. This is the final book in the Red Lipstick Coalition Series, it's a series of 4 standalone romances.  Staci is amazing at what she does. If you haven't picked up something from her your missing out. She is really good with giving you some laughs, but also keeping it pretty steamy! Her books always make for an enjoyable read. And Well Suited was no different!  "Chemistry is my love language.  I've always been able to separate feelings from chemo signals. A shot of dopamine, a dash of serotonin, and a sprinkle of oxytocin-and bam. You're in love. And when egg meets sperm, your pregnant. I couldn't even be surprised as I stared down at the little blue plus sign, because I knew exactly when and how, and with whom it happened.  When: approximately five weeks ago.  Who: one night stand.  How: prophylactic malfuncti...
