ABOUT THE BOOK
I was naïve to think my marriage to Luka Catano might work.
I was infatuated with him from afar…
Until I met him.
He loved the challenge of his next conquest, anyone would do...
Except me.
A wife was never something he wanted.

Torturous was not a strong enough word to describe
how I felt when I was in a room with Luka.
Besides hating nearly every word that came out of his mouth,
I also drowned with lust every time I looked at him.

At times I thought he might feel the same.

But nothing prepared me for what his family would make me become.

EXCERPT
“You’ve outdone yourself,” he says. “Which Eden do I have tonight?
Will you bite or will you purr?”
“I could ask you the same thing.”
He holds his hands out. “What do you think?
Am I suitable to be by your side?”
“You clean up okay.”
He smirks and steps closer to me, pulling me flush against him.
“Keep playing the cool act. I know it shouldn’t, but it gets me so hard.”
He presses into me to prove his point.
“Have you been drinking already?” I frown.
“This is me stone-cold sober.”
“So there’s nothing to excuse your behavior.”
His hands go lower and when he still feels my skin, he frowns.
His hands go lower still until they find material,
which happens to be hugging my backside.
He thrusts into me again and leans his forehead against mine.
“You don’t want to excuse my behavior. You like me best this way.
Hot and salivating over you. Admit it.”
I shake my head. “You need to take a step back.”
He exhales a shuddering breath and drops his hands,
stepping back.
“We’re going to be late. Let’s go.”
I shiver from the loss of his hands and the chill in his voice.
I can’t win with him.

He will demolish me. In a way, he already has.

"I was naive to think my marriage to Luka Catano might work. I was infatuated with him from afar...Until I met him. He loved the challenge of his next conquest, anyone would do..Except me. A wife was never something he wanted. Torturous was not a strong enough word to describe how I felt when I was in a room with Luka. Besides hating nearly every word that came out of his mouth, I also drowned with lust every time I looked at him. At times I thought he might feel the same. But nothing prepared me for what his family would make me become. *There will be four books in the Kingdoms of Sin series. Each book can be read as a standalone though there are interconnecting characters.*

I am surprised at how much I loved this book. I usually stick to your typical romance book, but something about this one caught my eye and made me want to sign up for an ARC. I loved how it was not just a romance, but a romance with a twist. I loved the idea of these two young people meeting through an arranged marriage, and learning about their families and their kingdoms. It really pulled me in right away and then I couldn't stop reading.

You're wrecking me. I hope you know, you are annihilating me."

I didn't really like Eden at first. I thought she was too timid, and didn't speak up when she should. I thought she was going to be one of those female characters that let people walk all over her. I am so glad I was wrong. She may have started out that way, but she quickly became a force to be reckoned with. She was a very well written character, and showed so much growth by the time the story was over. I loved the way she loved. She loved her family, she loved her people, and she loved Luka, despite the type of person he was. She didn't do anything half way.

I hated Luka, right away I was thinking he had no redeeming qualities and I honestly didn't know how Willow would be able to change my mind. By the time the story was finished it was like he was a whole new person. The things he did, and the things he said made me have a whole perspective on him. Willow really did an amazing job with these characters. I was shocked at how I was rooting for him by the end of the story.

"I like your fire, Eden Catano- nice ring to that, by the way. My wager is on you bringing him to his knees, and I, for one, cannot wait to watch."

Some of my favorite kinds of books are arranged marriages. I don't know what it is, but I love watching two people really despise each other, do some horrible things to one another, and then slowly realize what is right in front of their face and fall in love. There is nothing I love more than a slow burn love story. Sure, sometimes they want to jump right into bed together, because their sexual chemistry is off the charts, but for real feelings to actually start showing up, I love when that takes a while and you get to watch it unfold in a story. This was definitely that kind of story. These two had some big time sexual tension, but they also loathed each other, and it was fun to watch them realized that maybe they belonged together.

"This mouth is my downfall. You are my downfall. I'm willing to dive headlong into oblivion as long as you're on the other side."

I loved the mystery in the book, I loved trying to figure out who was someone you could trust, and who was someone to stay away from. I felt like the emotions the characters were going through were really well written and believable, the way it was written made me feel their pain too. I liked how Willow was writing a romance, but the whole focus of the book wasn't just romance. The other characters in the story were so well written, I can't wait to see who gets the next book and how their story will play out.

Overall, I'm giving this one 5 STARS. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I ended up liking this story. I can't wait to see who is the focus of the next book, and what else happens. I think what really made the book for me was the character development, and how Willow made some characters that might not have been likable in another book completely lovable by the time this one was finished.

"Sometimes we love, but it's to our detriment. That's how my love for you has felt- painful, one-sided, and incapacitating. It hasn't been a healthy love."
