Baby Mine

Image
This was my first book by Kennedy Fox, and I was not disappointed. This book made me feel so much. So many conflicting feelings. It was absolutely a beautifully written story.  "I saw her first. Blonde. Gorgeous. Feisty. I was smitten. But it didn't matter because she chose him and he was my best friend and roommate. I'd never be able to compete with that, so I pushed her away instead. It was easy when she lived hours away, and I didn't have to see her every day, but then she moved in with us. Now, I'm screwed. To her singing in the shower every morning, dancing in the kitchen while she makes coffee, and doing yoga in our living room, I can't stop thinking about her in all the wrong ways. She's not mine and never will be, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to push her against a wall and claim her mouth. She's constantly on me for making messes, bringing chicks home every weekend, and being a smartass when their PDA gets on my nerves. Cons

Well Suited

I was provided an advanced copy of this book from Social Butterfly PR & the author Staci Hart. This is the final book in the Red Lipstick Coalition Series, it's a series of 4 standalone romances.  Staci is amazing at what she does. If you haven't picked up something from her your missing out. She is really good with giving you some laughs, but also keeping it pretty steamy! Her books always make for an enjoyable read. And Well Suited was no different!  "Chemistry is my love language.  I've always been able to separate feelings from chemo signals. A shot of dopamine, a dash of serotonin, and a sprinkle of oxytocin-and bam. You're in love. And when egg meets sperm, your pregnant. I couldn't even be surprised as I stared down at the little blue plus sign, because I knew exactly when and how, and with whom it happened.  When: approximately five weeks ago.  Who: one night stand.  How: prophylactic malfunction.

My Life in Shambles

This is by far the longest I have gone between book reviews. I had this whole week off from work, prime reading time, and I didn't read at all. I'm not sure what happened there. Definitely a missed opportunity for me! But I'm back in the swing of things, and I have some good stuff coming up. I am getting ready to start an ARC of the new Staci Hart book, and then I also have another buddy read coming up with my book bestie! I also added several more books to my Kindle, and let's not talk about the books I have sitting on my shelf that need to be read! So there should be lots of good things coming up!  "When Valerie Stephens made the resolution to say yes to new adventures, she never thought she'd end up in the tiny town of Shambles, fake engaged to one of Ireland's top rugby players. But there's a first time for everything. They say bad things happen in threes. After my boyfriend broke off our engagement, I lost my apartment, and was laid off from

The Wrong Game

I have to let it be known that I love Kandi Steiner. She is the best. Every book I have read of hers I've loved, she seriously can do no wrong. This one took me a lot longer to get through then most, but I have had quite a bit going on. I'm on spring break from work now, so I'm going to have plenty of good reading time ! "Two season tickets. One genius idea. Zero interest in a relationship. The plan is simple: a brand new, not, preferably funny, definitely single male will fill on e of those seats for every Bears game at Soldier Field. And I'll fill the other. I can't think of a better way to use the season passes, I'd bought for my ex husband. I am a woman of plans, and this one's foolproof. Until Zach Bowen offers to be my practice round. He's infuriating. Presumptuous and overbearing. And absolutely, undeniably gorgeous. Any woman with a heartbeat would be attracted to him, and mine picks up speed every time he speaks. But as I said, I

When you start reading a book and it makes Harry Potter references about 3% in, you know you have picked the right book for you. I cannot gush enough about how fabulous this book was. I wish I could start it again and read it for the first time.  "Everything I knew about life, I learned from Harry Potter. I called him the greatest teacher of life lessons, and I swore up and down that he'd saved my life countless times. When I was upset, I wrote spells to turn people into rats, slugs, or toads." "Greyson East left his mark on me. As the young girl who first fell for him, I didn't know much about life. I did know about his smiles, though, and his laughs, and the strange way my stomach flipped when he was near. Life was perfect..until it wasn't, and when we were forced to go our separate ways, I held on to our memories, let go of my first crush, and wished for the day I'd find him again. When my wish came true, it was nothing like I imagined. I

Two Can Keep A Secret..If One Is Dead

I feel like it’s been a while since I read a good mystery book. I’ve been hooked on the romance for a while now, so this was a nice change. And this was a great read! It reads like a YA book, but it still kept me on the edge of my seat and guessing until the very end. “Echo Ridge is small-town America. Ellery’s never been there, but she’s heard all about it. Her aunt went missing there at age seventeen. And only five years ago, a homecoming queen put the town on the map when she was killed. Now Ellery has to move there to live with a grandmother she barely knows. The town is picture-perfect, but it’s hiding secrets. And before school even begins for Ellery, someone’s declared open season on homecoming, promising to make it as dangerous as it was fie years ago. Then, almost as if to prove it, another girl goes missing. Ellery knows all about secrets. Her mother has them; her grandmother does too. And the longer she’s in Echo Ridge, the clearer it becomes that everyone th

So, picture this, it's 2:30am and your up trying to put a baby to sleep, after said baby goes to sleep you are WIDE awake, so the most natural thing to do is pull up a book and start reading. This was me this morning, and this was me also finishing the book in the span of the 3 hours I was wide awake in the early morning hours with nothing else to do.  "Will she, or won't she..Studious and (mostly) sensible, the only thing Molly Wakefield wants to do is get through Senior Year and graduate. Well, that and hit the beach in her spare time. Okay, fine- and go shopping every once in a while for a new dress.. (and who could blame her?) And things are going according to plan- until the day she spies Weston McGrath, handsome star athlete and scholar, spying on her in study hall. A tad creepy? Maybe. Thrilling? Absolutely. You see, Weston McGrath happens to be one guy no one can get close to. Despite her efforts to avoid it (because let's face it- the guy isn't e

The Deal (Off-Campus, #1)

I did a buddy read with my book bestie(IG- #4theloveoftomes and 4theloveoftomes.blogspot.com/) on this one. It was a great choice. I've read some pretty heavy hitters lately, and while this one had a teensy bit of angst, it was a breezy read, and it made me feel good. I'm also going to include her review after mine! Check out her stuff, she's pretty amazing!  "She's about to make a deal with the college bad boy..Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she's carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush's attention, she'll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice..even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date..and it's going to be oh so good. All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduat
