"Are you seriously reading my text? You know that's an invasion of privacy," she said. 

She was angry, which told me she was as frustrated as I was. 

"What if I am? Maybe I'm looking out for you. You shouldn't meet random dudes alone. Who knows what he's capable of?"

"You're insane. He's a super nice guy. He didn't even do anything. Your bully of a bouncer made it into a big thing and now he feels terrible."

"My bully of a bouncer? He saved your ass. And he was doing me a favor, so you're welcome," I said, dropping my book on the table. 

"I knew you were behind it. Have you always been a hypocrite, or is this new for you?"

I laughed. She was fucking hilarious. "I think always is safe."

"You had a naked girl in your room yesterday. Why do you care who I talk to?"

"I don't know." It was the truth.

"Wow. What a great answer. Let me know when you figure it out. Can we get to work? I have a friend to meet for coffee at noon." She gave me a fake smile and responded to the douchebag.

I received an ARC copy of this book for my honest review. More Jade releases on February 25th. 

I've never read anything from Laura before, but I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I really enjoyed it. I liked the characters, I thought both of the main characters had good growth throughout the book, and it was a really easy read. 

It wasn't just your typical romance. There was heart and soul, and there was pain and heartbreak. These two had to work to get where they ended up. 

I loved Jade. She was a good girl, who took school really seriously, and had a great relationship with her dad. She was very likable right off the bat. She knew what she wanted in life and wasn't afraid to work for it, I thought that was very admirable. 

Cruz was my favorite kind of book boyfriend. He was moody, stubborn, and when he wanted something he went for it. I liked that even though he was a "rock star" that didn't really matter to him. He still wanted to go to school and get an education. The best thing about Cruz was that he would do anything for the people he loved. 

Once Jade & Cruz started falling for each other I really enjoyed their story. Cruz didn't even hesitate when it came to Jade, he fell willingly. They really had a beautiful love story. Sometimes when you read a book and the hero is in a band, the author had the tendency to make the guy a real asshole, I loved that Laura didn't do that with Cruz. He was so likable. I immediately fell in love with him, and it was easy to see how Jade did also. 

Life with Cruz Winslow was never boring.

There were some characters that I disliked so much, you will understand what I'm talking about when you start reading, but man did they really add to the story. They gave it a little bit of drama, which is never a bad thing. 

I thought I knew where this book was going, I was for sure that I knew how it all would end. I was thinking oh this is great, everything is perfect, and then BAM Laura goes and throws me for a loop. I just remember thinking I couldn't believe she did that to me. lol 

She would despise my world. She was sunshine and rainbows and I was booze and sex. 

Overall, I'm giving this one 5 STARS. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. I'm so glad I received an ARC of this book, and I can't wait to see how the next book plays out!
